Welcome to Our Domaine !

Nestled in the vibrant heart of the Cèze Valley, just a few kilometers west of the historic town of Orange, Domaine Combe Queyzaire was founded in 2017 by Denis Deschamps, a veteran of natural winemaking in Côtes-du-Rhône. Our estate is the culmination of a lifetime devoted to discovering and expressing the region’s most expressive terroirs.

After nearly two decades leading the Estézargues cooperative, Denis Deschamps chose to return to his first passion: cultivating small vineyards, where each plot tells its own unique story. It was in this spirit that Domaine Combe Queyzaire was created, on a small 2.5-hectare tract of land, where each vine is pampered to reveal its individual character.

The vines are rooted in the communes of St Nazaire, Vénéjan and St Gervais in the Gard department.

A terroir of character

The domaine is nestled in a landscape where geological diversity offers a tapestry of exceptional aromatic nuances to our wines. Pebbly soils, limestone, sand, clay and loess combine to create a rich, complex environment, ideal for growing grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

This unique soil composition allows the grapes to ripen slowly and fully, ensuring a depth and intensity of flavor that shines through in every bottle we craft.

An ecological vision

At Domaine Combe Queyzaire, we firmly believe in the importance of organic farming and sustainable practices. Almost no tillage is carried out to preserve the structure and health of the soil. The vines are surrounded by trees and various forms of biodiversity, creating an ecosystem where plants and animals contribute to the vitality of the vines. This respectful approach not only guarantees the sustainability of our environment, but also enriches the character and quality of our wines.

La main de l’artisan

Denis Deschamps and his (often family) team bring their expertise and meticulous attention to every stage of the winemaking process. As a fervent advocate of natural wine, Denis uses indigenous yeasts for fermentation, avoiding unnecessary additives to allow the wines to show their true expression of terroir. Each cuvée is vinified separately, without sulfites, respecting the particularities of each plot and harvest.

Our vineyards and wines

Domaine Combe Queyzaire is proud of its four main cuvées : “Les Aestivalis”, “Côtes du Rhône” red and white, and “Côtes du Rhône-Villages”. Each wine is an expression of the land and climate, carefully created to highlight the uniqueness of its origins. Denis’ wines are renowned for their balance, elegance and ability to capture the essence of the southern Rhône terroir.
